Special Event Medical Standby Services
Life EMS offers medical standby services for the community during sporting events, festivals, fairs and holidays. We also offer standbys during public safety events. Contact us if you require standby service at your event.
If you would like to have an available unit at your event, please call our office to schedule at least two weeks ahead before your activity. This service is free, and the unit will stay at your location unless they are needed on another call.
If you need a dedicated unit for only your event, we can provide that for your organization at our cost. Please call us for details.
Home for the Holidays
On Thanksgiving and Christmas, Life EMS offers a free program for area nursing home residents unable to get home for the holidays within the local area. The company advertises this opportunity for all 11 nursing homes in Enid.
To help families celebrate together, Life EMS offers its wheelchair van for picking up disabled seniors free of charge as one small way to help bring family home for the holidays–a gift from LIFE EMS to our community. This lets those who are otherwise unable to transport their loved ones back and forth from the nursing facility enjoy the day together with family.
Education
We have heard the quote “to be prepared is half the battle.” At Life EMS, we know that training and proper preparation saves lives and we encourage those in our communities to education themselves about the roles they can play in safety and life-saving. We offer a variety of training throughout the year, including CPR classes. Watch our Facebook page for upcoming opportunities, or call our office if you have a specific need. If we are not able to help, we will work with you to find a local training solution.
School Visits and Career Exploration
The Life EMS team loves to tell others about their work. If your school would like to have an EMS professional/ambulance visit for a Career Day or special occasion, we will do our best to accommodate your request! Please call to schedule a time.
